Writing lots of different articles and content on dating,
relationships and finding love online opens me up to
communicating with many different types of people: I get
letters from senior citizens dating for the first time in 50
years, divorcees, teens, widowers, and just about EVERY
different type of dater you can find! And the one thing that
always drives me nuts are the people who write in and say -
“where can I find absolutely free, doesn’t’ cost one red
cent online dating sites so that I can finally find my soul
mate?” Huh? I don’t get it! With SO many low cost options
available, why would you want to make the LARGEST decision
of your life based on whether you have to shell out 10, 20
or even 50 bucks first? Talk about penny wise, pound
foolish, jeez!
There are plenty of totally free dating sites – but they
come at a price! You are going to have less certitude about
who it is that is on there with you for one…..While NO
online dating site has CIA like application requirements, at
least having a credit card or checking account, or even a
simple paypal address for each new member provides some
layer of membership accountability. Another thing to look
out for is – while the idea of a free dating site is great,
you have to remember there aren’t that many saintly people
out there trying to play matchmaker for you – for free! They
have to make their money somehow, and often, it is through
obtrusive ads from other mainstream dating sites, contextual
advertising in the messaging system or any number of other
little annoyances you may not want to endure as you hunt for
Mr. or Ms. Right for you!
